I am an ICF ACC Transformational Coach. Transformational Coaching is a pure form of coaching based on therapeutic models, such as Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, alongside Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and exploration of a person’s Narrative. This is my chosen coaching practice and features with every client. I chose this style of coaching, in part, because of the impact it has had on me over the course of my career and I wanted to be able to work in this way for the benefit of others.
As well as transformational coaching, you will find my practice includes mentoring where appropriate. I draw upon my leadership and management consulting experience, often bringing techniques from Agile methodologies to support you in career, leadership development.
My coaching is goal oriented and future focussed. Whilst there is space to reflect on the past, this is to serve you moving forward, and coaching, unlike therapy or counselling does not dwell on examining what has happened.
We will focus on what you have learned from the past, to inform how you adapt to achieve your goals.
An important part of being a coach is that if I feel you would benefit from working with another professional, I commit to raising this with you in session.
As an ICF accredited Coach, this my ethical duty and competence to identify when clients have needs outside those which can be addressed by coaching.
Coaching is a commitment to yourself. You need to engage fully in the process, in and outside of session. When you invest your time and energy in your programme, to overcome your challenges and open your mind to the possibilities, the personal and professional rewards will be worth the effort.
I will create a safe space where you can “think out loud” in new and exciting ways. I encourage you to bring your whole life to our sessions, not just your work and you need to play an active role. You can view me as your trusted partner, who will coach, challenge and keep you accountable where you have asked me to do so. I will help you strategise and develop your goals while aligning your efforts toward achieving them. It’s all too easy to break the promises you make to yourself, less so when you involve someone else!
